If your home has a security system, please make sure it is disarmed on the day of your scheduled cleaning. If you provide us with instructions for operating your alarm, we cannot be responsible for alarms that go off or any first responder dispatch fees. If your home is in a gated community, please add your cleaner’s name to the authorized entry list.

When a regular cleaning falls on a holiday and your cleaner is not working that day, we will reach out a couple of weeks in advance to reschedule. The holidays we observe include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

For bigger deep cleaning appointments, our cleaners usually work together as a team. Occasionally, a quality control manager may also come by to ensure everything is being completed to our high standards.

You can also let us know if there are areas you would like us to avoid. A closed door or drawer signals to our team that the area should not be cleaned. While Hubbard’s Maid Service carries the proper insurance for accidental damage, heirlooms and special keepsakes are best stored safely just to be cautious.

We love pets and are happy to work in pet friendly homes. That said, we recommend keeping pets secured or in another area while we clean so we can work safely and efficiently. Please let us know ahead of time what pets are in the home so our team can be mindful not to startle them or accidentally let them outside. For health reasons, we cannot clean homes with flea infestations or pick up animal waste.

If access isn’t available when our team arrives, a lockout fee will be applied. We will try contacting you to see if we can still get inside before the fee is charged.

Not necessarily. If you have certain products you prefer, feel free to leave them out with instructions for us. We can also use your bleach if you’d like, but we do not carry bleach ourselves.

The first cleaning usually costs more because it takes extra time to bring the home up to Hubbard’s Maid Service standards. Once that first cleaning is done, routine visits help maintain that level of cleanliness and are typically priced lower. We will give you an estimate for both the first cleaning and the regular service. If it has been more than a month since your last visit, the next cleaning may be treated as an initial cleaning again.

The cost depends on your specific home and needs. We consider factors like the square footage of your home, the number of people living there, pets, floor types, clutter levels, and how often you’d like cleaning services.

Our team works carefully in every home, but if an accident happens we will absolutely take responsibility. Hubbard’s Maid Service is bonded and insured and covers smaller breakages up to $100. Larger damages fall under our general liability coverage.

Our technicians are honest and immediately report any breakage so the office can inform you and resolve the issue quickly.

Normal wear and tear is not considered breakage. Examples include loose handles, worn grout, or crumbling caulking. We also ask that items like pictures or mirrors are securely mounted and able to handle light dusting pressure.

A lockout fee applies if our cleaners arrive but are unable to complete the cleaning. This can happen if the home is locked, pets are not contained, power or water is unavailable, or if the team is turned away. In these situations, the lockout fee is the full cost of the scheduled cleaning.

We no longer offer skip options for recurring clients. For legacy clients or those without a dedicated cleaner, cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service will result in half of the cleaning fee being applied.

Because our technicians are cleaning other homes before yours, we cannot promise an exact arrival time. Travel time, traffic, or a cleaning that takes longer than expected can sometimes shift the schedule. We always do our best to arrive as close to the scheduled time as we can.
