Just a little about Blitch, GA.
Blitch, Georgia, is a small unincorporated community located in Effingham County in southeastern Georgia. While the community is small and relatively unknown, it has a rich and fascinating history. Blitch was originally settled in the mid-19th century by William Blitch, a farmer who migrated from South Carolina. The town was named after him, and the first post office was established in 1874. During this time, Blitch was primarily an agricultural community, with cotton being the main crop.
